摘要: The present study analysed the structure of phytoplankton community and environmental factors for a period of 20 years (1982 to 2001) in the Daya bay, China, where the Daya bay nuclear power station (DNPS) has been operating since 1994. The results showed changes of structure of phytoplankton community. From 1982 to 2001, the number of species of net-collected phytoplankton decreased from 132 to 102; cell size structure of phytoplankton community decreased both in cell diameter and cell length; percentage of big-cell species (equivalent spherical diameter (ESD) > 20 mu m) decreased, whereas the percentage of small-cell species (ESD < 20 mu m) increased. A negative correlation between cell size of phytoplankton community and water temperature were found both in terms of time and location. Those changes are coincident with increase of water temperature in the bay that was induced by thermal discharge from nuclear power station. This study suggest that over a long-time period, structures of phytoplankton community, especial cell size of phytoplankton community, have been affected by local environments, particularly the increase of water temperature in the Daya bay.
