Other AbstractThe eastern Taiwan and the coasts of Fujian and Guangdong belong to the Eurasian plate, what is different is that the eastern Taiwan is locates on the plate margin where is the convergent margin between Philippine Sea plate and Eurasian plate, while the coasts of Fujian and Guangdong is inside the plate, belonging to the northeast of the north continental margin of South China Sea. Both are the famous seismic belts in China, but there are different seismic activity, distribution and tectonic stress between the two, because of the different tectonic activities. The former is the typical plate-boundary earthquakes, while the latter is the intraplate earthquakes. In this research the characteristics of seismic activity, focal mechanism solution, tectonic stress and earthquake-controlling stru...
